Lori Milliron, the longtime girlfriend of Pennsylvania dentist Larry Rudolph — convicted of killing his wife during an African safari — is speaking out for the first time from behind bars, maintaining she played no role in the 2016 murder.
Milliron, who began an affair with Rudolph in 2002, is featured in Hulu’s new true-crime docuseries Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari, which explores the shocking case that began with what was initially considered a tragic hunting accident.
Bianca Rudolph, Larry’s wife of 34 years, was shot and killed in Zambia while the couple was on a big-game hunting trip. While Zambian authorities ruled her death an accident, U.S. investigators later determined it was a calculated murder, carried out so Larry could collect millions in life insurance. He was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to life in prison for foreign murder and mail fraud.
Milliron, meanwhile, was sentenced to 17 years for perjury, obstruction of a grand jury, and being an accessory to the murder after the fact. Prosecutors argued she gave Larry an ultimatum — her or his wife — and knowingly stayed with him after the crime.

Now, speaking from prison in the Hulu docuseries, Milliron insists she had nothing to do with Bianca’s death.
“There was no ultimatum. Why would I wait 15 years to give him an ultimatum? It just didn’t make sense,” Milliron said in a recorded phone call from prison.
“The police did an investigation, and they said it was an accident. Everyone believed it was an accident. So I assumed it was an accident as well.”
Milliron also said she didn’t plan to fall for Rudolph when they first met at his dental office, where she worked as a hygienist.
“I was reluctant, but after a little while, I slowly got to know him,” she said. “Eventually, I became the girlfriend — even though he was married.”

Prosecutors alleged otherwise during Rudolph’s 2022 trial. Their key witness, Brian Lovelace — a bartender at a Phoenix steakhouse the couple often visited — testified that he overheard Rudolph make a chilling confession during an argument with Milliron.
“Larry and Lori were having a drink,” federal prosecutor Bishop Grewell said in court. “The music stopped for a moment, and in that silence, Larry growled, ‘I killed my f—— wife for you!’”
Despite the testimony and convictions, both Rudolph and Milliron continue to proclaim their innocence and are appealing their respective sentences.
Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari premiered July 21 on Hulu and will continue airing weekly.
