Hailee Steinfeld Is Pregnant! Actress and NFL Husband Josh Allen Expecting First Baby

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are getting ready to welcome a baby into their family.

The Hawkeye star and her Buffalo Bills quarterback husband, both 29, are expecting their first child together. Steinfeld shared the news in her Substack newsletter, where she marked her 29th birthday by rounding up 29 of her favorite moments from the past year.

The final moment on the list was a special video reveal: Steinfeld stands in the snow, her baby bump on display, while Allen leans down to kiss her belly. The pair then beam at the camera, with Steinfeld wearing a cozy fleece emblazoned with the word “mother.”

As the clip zooms out, the couple are shown holding hands beside a tiny snowman, completing the sweet announcement.

Shortly after the newsletter went out, the couple posted the same video in a joint Instagram post. Allen dropped a simple but heartfelt comment on the reel: “I love you ❤️.”

The Pitch Perfect 2 actress recently opened up to Bustle in a November interview, sharing a rare glimpse into her life with Allen. Reflecting on marriage, Steinfeld said that “life makes sense” since tying the knot — and when asked if she was thinking about children, she didn’t hesitate.

“Of course,” she answered.

In the same conversation, Steinfeld spoke about how grateful she feels to have found her partner in Allen.

“I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,” she said. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”

Steinfeld and Allen, who began dating in 2023, were married in Santa Barbara, California, on May 31. In a June edition of her Beau Society email newsletter, Steinfeld shared behind-the-scenes reflections from their wedding weekend.

“I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time,” she wrote. “Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs and tears.”

She went on to describe the atmosphere of the celebration: “It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara. Our family and friends coming together amplified it.”

Months later, in an October interview with Variety, Steinfeld shared what she considers the “greatest thing” about being married to Allen.

“What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is,” she said.

During football season, Steinfeld uses the opportunity to slow down and be present with her husband.

“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me,” she explained.

Embracing this new rhythm has changed how she experiences both her work and her personal life.

“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work,” Steinfeld said. “I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
