Haley Kalil is speaking candidly about her dating history — including what she described as abusive experiences in past relationships.
On the Jan. 6 episode of Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the model and influencer alleged she has endured emotional abuse and infidelity in previous relationships — and said one ex was physically abusive.
“I’ve dealt, of course, as any girl has with a lot of emotional abuse in relationships, cheating, all of that stuff,” Kalil told Hirsch. “But no, one of my exes was physically abusive.”
Kalil said that experience became part of the inspiration behind her online video series Billionaire Boyfriend, where she humorously plays the girlfriend of a billionaire in short skits.
“That’s why in my first Billionaire Boyfriend [episode] I have a cast on my wrist, because domestic violence,” she explained.
During the conversation, Kalil and Hirsch discussed how she worked through those earlier relationships. Kalil said that after leaving her “abusive relationship,” she committed herself to becoming “the best person I could be.”
Still, when the topic turned to dating patterns, Kalil admitted she hasn’t always chosen partners wisely.
“I just keep picking them bad,” the 33-year-old said.
She added that she doesn’t want to paint every relationship negatively, noting she’s had “some amazing people” in her life. But she acknowledged she can be overly trusting when someone tells her what she wants to hear.

“I just tend to be very trusting when people tell me things, almost to the point of I will believe their delusions because I’m like, ‘No, they would never want to lie,’” she said.
Kalil also described the kind of person she’s drawn to — someone with life experience and a nuanced view of mistakes.
“I like somebody that that has life experience and understands the complexities of life and that just because you did one wrong thing one time, it doesn’t make you a bad person,” she continued.
Hirsch clarified that the ex Kalil was referring to was not her ex-husband, Matt Kalil, and Kalil agreed, saying, “This was a boyfriend.” She also noted that the first Billionaire Boyfriend episode came before her other publicly known relationship with Brazilian model Kyle Vieira. Kalil and Vieira were first linked in 2024 and split in the summer of 2025, while the first Billionaire Boyfriend skit was posted in 2022.
The podcast episode was released the same day her ex-husband filed a lawsuit against her.
Back in November 2025, Kalil appeared on a livestream with streamer Marlon Garcia, where she spoke openly about the couple’s sex life during their nearly seven-year marriage and suggested that her ex’s penis size was “the biggest factor” in their divorce.
According to the lawsuit, Matt alleges her comments — shared on a Twitch livestream — harmed his ability to remain out of the public eye by drawing widespread attention and ridicule.

Kalil’s attorney, Matthew Bialick, pushed back strongly, calling the case “legally unsupported” and saying they would “immediately move to dismiss it.”
“The claims seek to dramatically expand existing law and establish damaging new precedent by imposing liability on a woman for merely speaking openly and truthfully about a prior relationship,” Bialick said.
Matt’s attorney, Ryan Saba, also criticized Kalil’s comments in a separate statement, alleging she revealed private details “of no legitimate public concern” and that the disclosure caused substantial harm to Matt Kalil and his family.
Kalil also addressed the lawsuit directly.
“The truth is in the original livestream – which is still live on Marlon’s YouTube account. I speak highly of him in multiple ways throughout that conversation,” she said.
She added that she was “genuinely shocked and incredibly hurt” upon learning about the filing.
“Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal,” she concluded.
