Jenna Bush Hager is opening up about a quirky memory from her younger years.

On the Sept. 23 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, the 43-year-old host shared the “code name” she once used while booking hotels during the time her father, George W. Bush, was transitioning from Texas governor to president.

Guest co-host Sheinelle Jones, 47, asked if Bush Hager could finally share the long-kept name. Laughing, Bush Hager replied, “Let’s declassify it.”

Her alias? “Holly Crawford.”

“I know, Holly sounds like a good time, doesn’t she? Well, I didn’t come up with it,” Bush Hager said.

At the time, she was just 18 years old — the year of her dad’s 2000 presidential election, shortly before he entered the White House.

Public figures and their families often adopt pseudonyms when traveling, a common way to maintain privacy and avoid unwanted attention.

Jones wondered whether the Secret Service had assigned the name, much like the official code names they traditionally give to protectees.

Bush Hager explained, “Crawford was the name of the town where my parents had their Texas ranch, and holly… well, holly bush. I don’t know, I just made that up.” She also revealed that her actual Secret Service code name was Twinkle.

Looking back, she couldn’t help but joke about her younger self: “All I know is, if Holly Crawford shows up, she’s ready to order a margarita.”
