Lil Jon’s 27-year-old son Nathan Smith — who performs professionally as DJ Young Slade (or simply Slade) — has been reported missing in Georgia.
The Milton Police Department shared a missing person alert on Tuesday, Feb. 3, saying Nathan was last seen around 6 a.m. the same day near Baldwin Dr./Mayfield Rd. in Milton.
According to police, he “ran out of his house and has been missing since.” The department added that he left on foot, does not have a phone, and “may be disoriented and in need of assistance.” Officials said family and friends are worried for his safety, and asked anyone with information to call 678-297-6300 or email Detective Sarah Moore at sarah.moore@miltonga.gov.
Police described Nathan as having brown eyes and short black hair, standing 5’9″ and weighing 150 lbs.
A representative for Lil Jon said in a statement that the family is asking for privacy. “We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe,” the statement added. “Thank you.”

Lil Jon, born Jonathan Smith, shares Nathan with estranged wife Nicole Smith. The pair married in 2004, and the rapper announced their amicable split in February 2024, noting they had separated nearly two years earlier.
Nathan is a DJ and musician. His most recent single, “Feels,” was released in March 2025. His latest Instagram post — a photo with manager Lil Will and rapper Bow Wow at State Farm Arena in Atlanta — was shared on Jan. 6.
Last year, he appeared on MTV’s Family Legacy. In an interview with The Quintessential Gentleman tied to the show, he spoke about growing up with Lil Jon as his father.
“It’s dope to appreciate my dad, show respect, and just look at all the things he’s done, and it’s nice to get the torch passed down and do my own thing,” he said. “Because it’s like it comes from him, but also I’m definitely taking it and making it my own.”
