Erika Kirk’s courage and faith following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, earlier this month have deeply moved many—including actor Lorenzo Lamas.

Calling Erika an “incredible woman,” Lamas said he was struck by how she has carried herself through what he described as a “senseless act.”

“I have so much respect for her,” the Falcon Crest star told Fox News Digital, his voice breaking with emotion. “In my 67 years, I’ve never seen such grace, intelligence, and forgiveness. That kind of strength comes from faith and the belief that no matter what we face in life, we can turn to God.”

Lamas said he hopes the Kirks’ faith continues to inspire others, noting that Charlie always presented his views with “such grace, such intelligence. He was a truth-sayer.”

Though he never met Charlie Kirk personally, Lamas said he often watched his debates, finding them “absolutely captivating.” He recalled actor Charlie Sheen’s comment that Kirk’s assassination was “this generation’s JFK,” and said the comparison resonated with him.

“It rang true because I was just four when JFK was killed,” he explained, recalling how he first learned of the president’s death when he found his nanny in tears watching the black-and-white television coverage.

Kirk’s death, Lamas believes, has reignited faith for many people around the world.

“I really think Charlie brought faith back into countless lives,” he said. “The outpouring of prayers and support we saw was global. Maybe he even helped people discover faith for the first time.”

With life’s constant distractions, faith can easily slip away, Lamas reflected, but he believes the nation is “stronger for Charlie’s life.”

“We are stronger as people of faith, stronger as a party, stronger as human beings because of what Charlie left behind,” he said. “His legacy will grow, and his passion for truth will continue to resonate for generations.”

Lamas also praised Erika Kirk’s resilience in the face of unimaginable loss.

“The fact that she’s been able to show such grace and intelligence after losing the man she was going to spend her life with—the father of her children—is extraordinary,” he said. “A star was born in Erika Kirk. She embodies truth and faith in human form.”

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on Sept. 10 while addressing students at a Utah university.

He and Erika shared two young children: a daughter, 3, and a son, 1.
