Megyn Kelly appeared to cast doubt on the definition of pedophilia during a recent episode of her Sirius XM program, The Megyn Kelly Show, while discussing convicted child s** offender Jeffrey Epstein.
During the Wednesday, Nov. 12 show, Kelly and guest Batya Ungar-Sargon talked about the House Oversight Committee’s release of newly public emails sent by Epstein that referenced President Donald Trump.
Kelly acknowledged that Epstein had abused minors, saying: “[Epstein] did like them young, and there were several young women who he did this to who were minors, who were underage. There’s just no question about that.” She then asserted that Trump was not involved: “That is a true fact about Jeffrey Epstein. But that is not a true fact about Donald Trump.”

Kelly claimed she knew “somebody very, very close” to the Epstein investigation “who is in a position to know virtually everything.” That person, she said, told her years ago that Epstein “was not a pedophile.”
“He was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls,” Kelly continued. “I’m definitely not trying to make an excuse for this… he wasn’t into, like, 8-year-olds. But he liked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby.”
Kelly said she believed that assessment until former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested there were “tens of thousands” of digital files containing child s**ual abuse material connected to Epstein. “Only a pedophile gets off on young children abuse videos,” she said, adding that she no longer fully trusts Bondi’s statements about the case.
The host added, “We have yet to see anybody come forward and say, ‘I was under 10, I was under 14 when I first came within his purview.’ You can say that’s a distinction without a difference. I think there is a difference. There’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?”
On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released three email correspondences between Epstein and others. Hours later, Republicans on the committee released around 20,000 pages of documents from the Epstein estate.
In the first group of emails, Epstein repeatedly referenced Trump.
On April 2, 2011, Epstein wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump. [Redacted victim’s name] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned.”
In a later message sent to Trump biographer Michael Wolff on Jan. 31, 2019, Epstein wrote, “[Redacted victim’s name] mara lago,” followed by additional redacted text. “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. . of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”
In a statement, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats of leaking the emails “to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.” She asserted that the individual referenced in the documents was the late Virginia Giuffre, who had stated that Trump was not involved in wrongdoing and had treated her politely during limited interactions.
Leavitt added that Trump had removed Epstein from his club “decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre,” and claimed the released records were intended “to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments” and the reopening of the government.
