A Nevada woman has been charged with killing her boyfriend during a photo shoot in Las Vegas.

Allysandra Blea, 20, was charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon on Aug. 26 in connection with the death of 23-year-old Mark Gaughan.

Just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 23, Las Vegas police went to the 1000 block of Nassau Drive after reports of a man being shot. Officers found Gaughan on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.

Medical personnel tried to help him, but he died at the scene.

Authorities say Gaughan was taking photos of Blea, who was posing with a gun near a vehicle when it fired.

“During the photo shoot the gun discharged and the victim was shot,” the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a press release on Aug. 28.

Blea allegedly told police the shooting was an accident and that she didn’t think the gun was loaded, according to an arrest report cited by FOX5.

According to the report, investigators later found messages on Blea’s social media showing a strong interest in guns, per KSNV.

“In several conversations with various accounts, there was talk about her love of shooting guns, owning guns, building her arsenal and shooting people in the face,” court documents said, according to KLAS. “There were several photographs of Allysandra holding various firearms (handguns, revolvers and rifles) in different poses, including pressing a firearm against her head, stuffed animals’ heads, and shooting bottles at an unknown location.”

At one point, she allegedly said, “I wish I could shoot people with real guns and get away with it,” according to FOX5.

She also allegedly mentioned wanting to shoot prostitutes and homeless people.

In an earlier conversation with Gaughan, he suggested using a dummy for target practice. Blea reportedly replied that they should shoot “someone real.”

The arrest report cited by FOX5 included the statement: “If it’s only one a night the police will remain clueless.”

Blea is now in the Clark County Detention Center.
