Months after sparking online chatter for a finger piercing last September, North West appears to have added even more to her growing lineup of body jewelry.

In an Instagram Stories photo posted Jan. 13, the 12-year-old seemed to show two new finger piercings, joining the one already visible on her middle finger.

She styled the new studs with a bright blue wig and an all-black look: a Balenciaga T-shirt, a pleated skirt, and the oversized Alex Moss New York diamond skull chain she received from her mom on Christmas. North also showed the jewelry on TikTok, posting a video highlighting the studs alongside a metallic manicure.

Since first appearing with the finger piercing in 2025, North — along with Kim Kardashian — has pushed back on criticism of the choice. On Nov. 11, a TikTok user, @mazzy_williams, posted a video with overlay text reading, “north west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart just me?” North and Kardashian responded from their joint account: “it’s okay 🫶”.

North later reinforced her stance in a Dec. 9 TikTok, writing, “This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing,” while mouthing along to audio that said, “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”

Kardashian, 45, has also addressed the scrutiny. In an October episode of Call Her Daddy, the Alls Fair actress said that while she sometimes makes mistakes — including letting North wear certain outfits that some people have questioned as age-appropriate — she hopes people will offer a “little bit of grace.”

“I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” she said, adding, “as a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.”

She also shared how North handles online commentary. “She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.’ She’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.’”
