Katelynn Ordone is opening up about the heartbreaking car crash that took the life of her 2-year-old son, Preston, and how she’s leaning on her faith to survive the unimaginable grief.

The tragic accident occurred on April 24 in Louisiana. Preston, known to many from his viral appearances in Katelynn’s “Okay Baby” TikTok videos, died from fatal blunt force injuries. Katelynn and her husband, Jaelen Ordone—Preston’s father—were also in the car but survived. Their daughter, Paisley, was not in the vehicle at the time.

In a TikTok video shared on July 3, Katelynn recalled a powerful memory from the day of the crash—one she doesn’t remember firsthand due to a traumatic brain injury she suffered, but which was recounted to her by her parents.

“The accident was awful, and somehow I managed to get my phone,” she said. “I called 911 first. I know that because of my call logs—and then I called my parents.”

Though Katelynn couldn’t give her exact location at the time, she was able to send it through her phone. Her mother described being on the phone with her for about five minutes, unable to bear the sound of her daughter in pain.

“She said I was groaning and moaning, and she just couldn’t handle it,” Katelynn shared.

Her mother then handed the phone to Katelynn’s father, who stayed on the line with her for 19 minutes. He later described moments of confusion, silence, and sudden clarity during the call.

“He kept asking where I was, and I just kept saying, ‘I don’t know,’” Katelynn said. “People were asking me if I had kids, and I didn’t even know how to answer.”

Then came a moment her father would never forget.

“In one of the quiet moments, my dad said I suddenly began reciting the Lord’s Prayer perfectly,” she said. “He was shocked. I had to look it up later because I didn’t actually know the words well enough to say them on my own.”

For Katelynn, the moment was more than just a memory—it was a sign of hope.

“I’ve heard the prayer before and recognize it when I hear it, but I couldn’t have recited it on my own,” she said. “Knowing I said it in that moment meant everything to me.”

She continued, “Without God, I wouldn’t be able to believe that Preston is at perfect peace. I still have a long road ahead, but I truly don’t think I could get through this without Him.”

Katelynn and her family have continued to share their journey publicly as they process their grief and honor Preston’s memory.
