Country music star Pat Green revealed that his family was among the many devastated by the catastrophic floods that struck Central Texas over the weekend.

In a heartfelt statement posted to Facebook on Monday, Green wrote,

“Over the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family—like so many others—suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.”

He continued, “We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy. Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family. Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.”

Reports Suggest Stepbrother May Be Among Victims

While Green did not share specifics, unverified reports circulating online suggest his stepbrother may have died in the flooding, with his body reportedly found in Kerrville. Other reports, also unconfirmed, claim the man’s wife and children are still missing. No official statement has been issued confirming these details.

Fans Offer Support

Green’s post quickly drew an outpouring of sympathy and support from fans.

“Sending love and prayers for you, your family and all those impacted by this tragic event,” one person wrote.

“Many prayers, big hugs and much love coming to you all from Delaware. May God keep His hand over everyone this terrible event has affected,” another shared.

A third commenter added,

“Love and prayers for your entire family, all the families and the entire community. May your days ahead be filled with healing in the arms of your loved ones.”

Show Postponed Due to Flooding

On Saturday, Green announced the postponement of his planned Sunday concert due to the ongoing crisis in the Texas Hill Country.

“Due to the unforeseen weather and tragedy around the Texas Hill Country, it has been decided to postpone tomorrow night’s show with @corymorrowband and @dawnandhawkes,” he wrote. The concert has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025, and all previously purchased tickets will be honored.

He concluded his announcement with a message of solidarity:

“Our prayers go out to all the folks affected by the floods in the Texas Hill Country.”
