Authorities continued searching the neighborhood near Annie Guthrie’s home hours after releasing images of an “armed” figure potentially connected to the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie.

Officials with the Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation were seen canvassing the area and speaking with neighbors.

One neighbor, Tony Zaccagnini, said he spoke with deputies about the case. Zaccagnini, 74, said he has security cameras positioned around his property and that investigators had previously asked to review his footage.

“They were there last week, asking to look at my cameras. We didn’t see anything on it,” he said.

An FBI spokesperson said authorities were not confirming additional details at this time.

Law enforcement was first seen at the residence of Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, late on Feb. 7—just hours after Annie and her siblings, Savannah and Camron Guthrie, shared a video message directed at the person they believe may have taken their mother.

Annie’s property is about four miles from Nancy Guthrie’s longtime home in Tucson, where authorities say she was taken during the night of Jan. 31.

Tracy Walder, a former CIA and FBI special agent, told PEOPLE investigators may have sought Annie’s permission to search, obtained a warrant, or both.

The neighborhood search continued after authorities released photos of a masked person wearing gloves who appeared to be carrying a weapon. The individual is also believed to have tampered with a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door on the morning she disappeared, according to authorities.

In a statement, officials said law enforcement partners had uncovered previously inaccessible images showing an armed person appearing to interfere with the front-door camera around the time of the disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1 after she did not attend church. Investigators later said they believe she was taken against her will.

Nancy was last seen the evening of Jan. 31, when Cioni dropped her off at her house after she had dinner with him and Annie, authorities have said.

Investigators also confirmed that blood found on the exterior porch of Nancy’s Tucson home matches her DNA. Authorities said remnants of a doorbell camera were removed from the front door area.
