Sutton Stracke is speaking out about a frightening break-in at her Los Angeles home.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told ABC News’ Nightline that her house was burglarized in November — around the same time her castmate Kathy Hilton’s home was also hit. The interview is set to air Dec. 18.
“It feels strange to know that there were three men in my house in my room going through my drawers,” Stracke, 54, said. “Just looking and hunting.”
Stracke said the aftermath of the Nov. 15 burglary was unsettling: a window was broken, drawers were pulled out and rummaged through, and valuables were taken from her bedroom closet. She estimates the loss at up to $1 million, including luxury handbags and high-end jewelry.
Several Hermès bags were among the missing items, and at the time of the interview, nothing had been recovered. Stracke said the theft felt especially personal because some of what was taken was meant to stay in the family. “Those are…gonna be [family] heirlooms,” she said, adding that it also left her with the lingering discomfort of knowing someone had been inside her space.

Stracke speculated that the burglars may have been working their way through the neighborhood — or possibly choosing certain houses deliberately. She noted that it was publicly known she and Hilton, 66, were in Las Vegas for BravoCon 2025. Still, when asked whether she believed Housewives stars were being specifically targeted, she said she didn’t.
She said police became aware something was wrong after her dog walker arrived in the morning and found the front door wide open. “My big kitchen window was shattered everywhere,” Stracke recalled.
Afterward, she texted the RHOBH group chat, urging her castmates to double-check their own home security as a precaution.
Stracke also admitted she’s replayed the situation in her mind, running through different “what if” scenarios about what she could have done differently to protect her home.
Reconciling what happened with the show’s glamorous, highly visible lifestyle hasn’t been easy, she added — though she emphasized that producers have long been mindful of safety. “I never conjured the idea that somebody was watching this show to break into my house,” she said.
At the same time, Stracke said she’s trying not to let the fear define her. “Maybe it was because I’m on this television show,” she reflected. “But I have to remember that my next-door neighbor was broken into a couple of years ago. I can’t allow myself to live in fear… and not letting our viewers experience things in its most authentic, truest form.”

Asked what advice she would give others after the burglary, Stracke kept it simple: be vigilant. “Be as careful as possible with your house,” she said, noting that while she’s fortunate to have armed security, everyday precautions — like making sure doors and windows are locked — still matter.
Police confirmed at the time that break-ins occurred on the blocks where Stracke and Hilton live while both were traveling, and said “suspects fled the location.” Reports were completed for both incidents, and a person close to Hilton said everyone was safe.
According to ABC News’ Nightline, Hilton’s home was broken into just hours after Stracke’s. Hilton later told Extra that her husband, Rick Hilton, was home during the incident and frightened the intruders away with a shotgun before calling 911.
