A California man has been arrested in connection with the death of a missing 17-year-old whose decomposing leg was found in December.

Abraham Feinbloom, 51, is being held without bail in Imperial County Jail on suspicion of murder and resisting a peace officer in connection with the death of T’Neya Tovar, according to a Feb. 14 news release from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, working alongside the Federal Bureau of Investigation, served a search warrant Friday, Feb. 13, at a home on the 2800 block of Harlequin Court in Salton City, the sheriff’s office said.

During the operation, Feinbloom was seen jumping a fence in what authorities described as an apparent attempt to evade law enforcement. He was quickly apprehended by local authorities and later questioned by FBI agents while investigators processed the home for evidence.

Tovar was reported missing from her home in Hemet, in Riverside County, on Dec. 1, 2025, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Investigators previously said she may have been with an adult male. A local report, citing detectives, said she had allegedly traveled about 70 miles to Thermal, California, to meet an unidentified man.

On Dec. 21, authorities said a leg showing signs of decomposition was discovered in the Vista Delmar area. Investigators later confirmed the remains belonged to Tovar after comparing a DNA swab from her mother to the recovered remains using rapid DNA analysis.

The investigation remains ongoing.
