Sean “Diddy” Combs’ spokesperson is pushing back against a report alleging that the music mogul was caught consuming homemade alcohol inside prison shortly after being moved to a new facility.
TMZ reported on Friday, Nov. 7, that Combs — currently incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) in New Jersey — was allegedly found drinking a homemade brew created from Fanta soda, sugar and apples, left to ferment for two weeks.
The report also stated that officials briefly considered relocating Combs, 56, to another unit after discovering the substance, but ultimately decided against the move.
In response to the story, Combs’ spokesperson issued a statement.
“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs,” the spokesperson said. “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”

“This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there,” the statement continued. “We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”
A statement shared on Combs’ official X account on Saturday, Nov. 8, echoed this message, calling the claims “completely false.”
“The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family,” the post read.
In October, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison following a July conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn (MDC), where he had been held since his 2024 arrest, to FCI Fort Dix on Oct. 30. The next day, the first photo of Combs inside the facility surfaced, showing him standing in the prison yard.

His legal team had requested the transfer, arguing that conditions at MDC were inadequate and noting that Fort Dix offered improved access to drug-rehabilitation programs.
“In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix,” attorney Teny Geragos wrote during the process.
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who sentenced Combs, also recommended that he be considered for any available substance-abuse program.
