Singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow is urging sweeping accountability in the wake of a massive new release of documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein — and she says President Donald Trump should face the harshest consequences.

In an Instagram Stories post shared Thursday night (Feb. 5), Crow criticized what she described as America’s lack of urgency when powerful figures are linked, even indirectly, to the Epstein scandal. “Those named in the Epstein files in other countries are going down hard for it. Not in America,” she wrote, before adding the line that quickly spread across social media: “Who are we if we do not stand up for children who are knowingly being pedaled to rich leaders all over the world.”

Crow then escalated her message, writing that Trump “needs to be impeached and imprisoned,” and broadened the call beyond any one party, saying every person — “Democrat, Republican, American, or foreign” — who knew about Epstein’s misconduct and stayed silent should be held accountable.

Why Crow spoke out now

Crow’s comments followed a major Justice Department document dump connected to the Epstein investigation, described in reporting as a release of more than three million items (including emails and other materials).

The latest release has reignited debate over who appears in the material, what the references actually mean, and whether the public is seeing the full picture. Critics and lawmakers have argued that key records may still be withheld, while survivor advocates have condemned the way disclosures can expose victims while still failing to provide complete accountability.

What the documents do — and don’t — show

The newly released cache reportedly includes references to Trump, but reporting also notes that references alone do not establish wrongdoing. Trump has denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and has previously said he cut ties with Epstein years ago.

Crow’s post reflects a growing public pressure campaign — not just for more records to be released, but for consequences to follow when influential names surface in connection with Epstein’s orbit, whether through verified relationships, unverified tips, or broader social ties.
