Survivor viewers will have to hold off a little longer before learning who takes home the Season 49 win.
On Tuesday, Dec. 16, President Donald Trump announced that he will deliver an Oval Office address on Wednesday, Dec. 17 — the same evening the Survivor season finale is scheduled to air. In response, CBS said the episode will be delayed to accommodate the address in the network’s lineup.
“My Fellow Americans: I will be giving an ADDRESS TO THE NATION tomorrow night, LIVE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, at 9 P.M. EST. I look forward to ‘seeing’ you then. It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!” Trump, 79, wrote via Truth Social.

CBS Entertainment confirmed the change and said CBS News will broadcast the address as a special report.
“CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell will anchor and be joined by chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes, reporting from the White House,” the network said in a statement.
The network added that the three-hour Survivor finale, which begins at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, “will resume where it left off immediately following the president’s address for Eastern and Central Time Zone viewers on the CBS Television Network and air in its entirety.”
Other programming affected includes Fox’s season finale of The Floor, which is set to start at 8 p.m. ET.
As for Survivor, Sage Ahrens-Nichols, Sophi Balerdi, Savannah Louie, Kristina Mills and Rizo Velovic remain in the running for the $1 million prize. Two of the contestants are also expected to return for next year’s all-star 50th season.
