President Donald Trump lashed out at reporters during a press scrum at the White House, demanding they stop asking about his ties to convicted adult offender Jeffrey Epstein — and instead suggested they redirect their focus toward other public figures.

It’s been nearly three weeks since the Trump administration attempted to downplay the promised release of a trove of documents related to Epstein. Since then, public scrutiny of Trump’s connections to Epstein has only grown, further amplifying controversy surrounding the issue.

On Friday morning, as Trump departed the White House for Turnberry, Scotland, he was asked about Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate. Rather than directly addressing the question, Trump deflected and urged the media to concentrate on others.

REPORTER: What are you hoping Todd Blanche gets out of his meetings with Ghislaine Maxwell?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I don’t know about the meeting. I know it’s taking place. And he’s a fantastic man. He’s a great attorney.

And people should really focus on how well the country is doing, or they should focus on the fact that Barack Hussein Obama led a coup, or they should focus on the fact that Larry Summers from Harvard, that Bill Clinton, who you know very well, and lots of other friends — really close friends of Jeffrey. Summers should be spoken about, because, you know — Jeffrey Epstein should be spoken about.

And they should speak about them because they don’t talk about them, they talk about me. I have nothing to do with the guy!

Despite Trump’s efforts to distance himself, the Epstein controversy continues to escalate with new revelations emerging regularly.

In just the past week:

  • Trump exploded in anger and threatened legal action following The Wall Street Journal’s detailed report on his ties to Epstein.
  • Multiple resurfaced videos portraying Trump inappropriately went viral across social media.
  • A new disclosure revealed that Trump had previously been notified of his mention in Epstein’s files.
  • His attempt to revive a discredited “treason” accusation against former President Barack Obama failed to gain traction.
  • A House subcommittee voted to subpoena all documents related to the Epstein investigation.

As the situation evolves, Trump’s attempts to deflect attention may only deepen public and legal interest in his past connections.
