Amid health rumors after a CVI diagnosis, Trump will hold a rare White House press conference Tuesday at 2 p.m., raising questions about his future.

President Donald Trump is scheduled for a press conference on Tuesday, the White House announced. His weeks-long absence from press events has fueled speculation about his health, especially after his recent diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). The press event is set for 2 p.m. at the Oval Office.

Over the past few days, unverified rumors about the President being unwell have spread online. But Trump was seen on Sunday with his grandchildren at his golf course in Northern Virginia. He was photographed leaving the White House and at the golf club, though it did little to ease concerns about the 79-year-old’s health.

The White House Press Pool’s notification on Monday created a lot of attention, especially since it didn’t say what the announcement would cover. Officials have insisted that Trump is in “excellent health.” Despite this, some online speculation suggests he might announce his resignation.

“Trump to make an Oval Office announcement tomorrow at 2 p.m. Is he resigning?” wrote the anti-Trump account, Republicans Against Trump.

“Hasn’t been taken off the calendar yet, but at 2 AM Trump is supposed to make an announcement,” another user said. “Doubt it’ll be him, or it’ll be JD Vance making the announcement.”

“Trump to make an announcement at 2PM tomorrow. Will it be what everyone is hoping for?” wrote someone else.

Why the Internet Thinks Trump Is Sick

Trump’s health has been a focus of online theories over the past week, even though officials say the POTUS is in “excellent health.” The rumors began when people noticed swelling in his ankle and bruises on his hands during public appearances.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the bruises happen from frequent handshakes, which are a normal part of the President’s schedule.

Still, the combination of Trump’s limited media appearances and a mostly empty schedule has left people questioning his health. Tuesday’s press conference could finally answer some of those questions, making it highly anticipated.
