President Donald Trump is facing criticism over remarks he made about his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, during a recent interview, with some calling his comments “creepy.”

During an appearance on Newsmax, Trump was asked about Leavitt’s performance in the White House. In response, he praised her while also describing her in a way that made viewers uncomfortable.

“She’s become a star. It’s that face. It’s that brain. It’s those lips. The way they move. They move like she’s a machine gun,” Trump said. Leavitt, notably, is the youngest person ever to serve as White House press secretary.

In the same interview, Trump also made a puzzling remark, seemingly referring to certain global conflicts as “very beautiful.”

In a separate part of the interview, the president asserted that his administration had ended multiple wars, stating: “You take a look at what’s happened just over the last little while, we’ve settled a lot of… A lot of very beautiful wars have been settled.”

He cited one example in particular: “You know, one of the wars: India-Pakistan, nuclear,” he said, according to reporting from the Irish Star.

However, Indian officials quickly disputed the claim. On Monday, India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the Lok Sabha that it was “completely incorrect and baseless to say that the military action was stopped because of pressure.”

Trump’s reference to “beautiful wars” has left many confused, as has his assertion that his administration resolved multiple major conflicts. The context and intent behind his comments remain unclear.

The interview came just days after Trump visited his sons’ newest golf course in Scotland. There, he made headlines by claiming he had averted a war the previous day.

“We did one yesterday. You know, we stopped the war, but we stopped about five wars,” Trump said. “So that’s much more important than playing golf. As much as I like, it’s much more important.”
