FBI Director Kash Patel told Senators that more than 20 people in a Discord group with Charlie Kirk shooting suspect Tyler Robinson will be questioned.

Patel testified in front of the U.S. Senate Oversight Committee that the FBI plans to talk to the people in a group chat used by Robinson, the BBC reported.

Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Kirk, a well-known right-wing activist, during a rally at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The BBC and CBS reported earlier, citing law enforcement sources and a Discord spokesperson, that Robinson may have confessed to shooting Kirk in the group chat.

Sen. Josh Hawley asked Patel if there were 20 people in the chat, and Patel said there were “a lot more,” according to the BBC.

Patel told the Senate panel that investigators would speak with “anyone and everyone involved in that Discord chat” and that law enforcement would follow “every lead.”

Authorities previously said that Robinson was caught after a family member turned him in.

Robinson is accused of using a high-powered, bolt-action rifle to kill Kirk after being “radicalized” in recent years, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox previously said.

Robinson has not yet been officially charged.
