Amy Schumer’s latest at-home glam moment quickly turned into a cute family snapshot thanks to an unexpected guest — her son, Gene.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, the 44-year-old comedian shared a series of photos on Instagram, posing on a staircase in a yellow minidress adorned with bows and ruffled trim along the hem. In the third image, her 6-year-old son, Gene David — whom she shares with husband Chris Fischer — can be seen joyfully jumping into the frame above her, perfectly photobombing the shot.

“Trying to go to the party but someone won’t go to bed,” Schumer joked in the caption, capturing the very relatable parenting moment.

A short while later, she posted another photo in which Gene appeared to be sprinting up the stairs while she continued to pose for the camera. This time, his face was covered with a yellow heart emoji flashing peace signs, adding a playful touch to the candid scene.

Schumer has previously shared that she wouldn’t be surprised if Gene ends up sharing her love for comedy. “He’s really funny,” she said in February. “I don’t know what his story is going to be, but he loves doing stunts and making people laugh.”

When it comes to his mom’s fame, though, Gene remains largely unimpressed. During a January episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the Trainwreck star explained that her son simply sees her in the most down-to-earth way.

“It’s like the same with my son or my husband,” Schumer said. “It’s like, ‘You’re mom.’”

Alongside her family time and playful photo shoots, the I Feel Pretty actress has also been open about her health journey following her endometriosis and Cushing syndrome diagnoses.

“I’m feeling strong and like myself,” Schumer wrote in October alongside a since-deleted Instagram carousel of herself wearing a black and white Valentino dress. “I’m enjoying how I look, but man it is all about how you feel. I’m so grateful to be pain free thanks to my trainer Mona at reload who has helped strengthen me since my back surgery and @seckinmd for lifting all the endometriosis’ out of my body.”

She added that she’d dressed up for a friend’s 50th birthday party but ultimately chose a quieter night in. “I got all dressed up and ready to go to my friends 50th and then decided I wasn’t feeling up to it and wanted to stay home with my little guy,” she wrote. “Thanks for all the love. Sending it right back 😍.”
