Bill Maher took aim at the “online social justice girls” who have accused Sydney Sweeney’s viral “Great Jeans” ad with American Eagle of being racist, defending the actress on his show Friday.

Maher ridiculed the backlash, pointing out the irony of critics branding Sweeney a “nazi” and “White supremacist,” while also dismissing the idea of “good genes.”

“I don’t think they meant it this way, but it’s pretty hilarious that all these online social justice girls are like, ‘It’s racist. There’s no such thing as good genes, right?’ And then you open Tinder and swipe left on every bald guy,” Maher joked.

The “Real Time” host also mocked the ad’s obvious setup — with Sweeney sporting blue eyes and dressed like “Jay Leno in all blue denim.”

“She talks about having blue eyes, then says, ‘I have great jeans,’ because, well, she’s wearing jeans,” Maher said. “But the woke crowd thinks that makes her a White supremacist.

Taking the humor further, Maher quipped about Sweeney’s bra size as “36 KKK” and joked that she calls her breasts “the Proud Boys.”

The American Eagle campaign, titled Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans, has sparked heated reactions across social media.

Vice President JD Vance also joined the conversation, mocking the left’s response during a Friday appearance on the Ruthless podcast.

“My political advice to Democrats? Keep calling anyone who finds Sydney Sweeney attractive a Nazi,” Vance said sarcastically.

He criticized the left for losing composure over what he called a harmless jeans ad and questioned if they’d learned anything since the 2024 election.

“Here you have a normal, all-American, beautiful girl doing a simple jeans ad to sell jeans to American kids — and yet the left is utterly unhinged,” Vance said. “Didn’t the November 2024 election teach you anything?”

“I thought maybe the lesson would be to dial down the craziness,” he continued. “But instead, the lesson seems to be attacking people as Nazis just for thinking Sydney Sweeney is beautiful. Fantastic strategy — that’s how you win midterms, especially with young American men.”
