Barack and Michelle Obama shared holiday greetings on Thursday, Dec. 25, posting a joint message on Instagram.
“Merry Christmas! Barack and I send you our heartfelt wishes for a blessed holiday and joyful start to the new year,” Michelle Obama wrote in the caption.
In the comments, Bravo’s Andy Cohen kept it simple: “we miss you.”
The message quickly struck a chord, drawing more than 8,000 likes and prompting dozens of replies from users who echoed the sentiment.
“@bravoandy Lord say that again. Merry Christmas to you and your family,” one person wrote.
“@bravoandy is wrong about bringing Vicki back, but absolutely correct on this one,” another added, referencing Bravo’s decision to bring Vicki Gunvalson back to The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Others leaned into nostalgia as well. “@bravoandy I agree! I miss the warmth and grace of such a great leader,” one comment read, while another user added, “@bravoandy they have No idea how much we miss them.”
Cohen has publicly supported Barack Obama for years, including persuading him to play “Plead the Fifth” at a 2012 fundraiser. He has also been outspoken in his criticism of President Donald Trump.
More recently, in October 2024, Cohen endorsed Kamala Harris for president, listing a range of issues in an Instagram post.
“I am voting for Kamala Harris because: I believe women should have jurisdiction over their bodies. As a gay American dad who had kids through IVF, the Supreme Court is on the ballot and I don’t want it filled with (more) right wing extremists who will take away my rights. I believe in sensible gun control. I believe in building the middle class, and raising the minimum wage. She is mentally fit to serve as Commander in Chief and not too old for the job. America should never cozy up to dictators. She will be a President for all Americans. I believe January 6 was one of the darkest days in our history, the result of a weak man’s fragile ego. I don’t want to go back,” he wrote.
