Britney Spears’ Instagram posts are raising eyebrows among fans.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, the pop superstar shared a video of herself singing Rihanna’s “Unfaithful” with a partial British accent, her untidy home visible in the background. Some fans expressed concern online.
“Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow,” she captioned the clip. Spears wears a polka dot crop top and pink shorts as she sings Rihanna’s 2006 hit, briefly slipping into a British accent.
In the background, dogs run around, and a fan noted what appears to be feces on the floor amid scattered items, including a folded rug.
“I remember them saying she would replace Janet Jackson back in the day. Sad to watch her like this,” one X user commented.
Another post read, “how are people not more concerned about Britney Spears and the stuff she posts on instagram.”
Still, some fans defended her. “People need to realize Britney Spears is trolling us lol she’s giving us 2007 in 2025: you wanna say I’m crazy? I’ll show you crazy. She doesn’t need, nor want, society’s approval. She hates society, we f—ed her over,” one fan wrote. “Her Instagram makes me smile cause I see what she’s doing.”
Since sharing the “Unfaithful” video, Spears has posted a photo of bird statues in a store, a cartoon image of a creature surrounded by hair bows and hearts, and a video of herself smiling and modeling a dress at home.
Last week, the “Gimme More” singer shared a clip of herself dancing to Jackson’s “Any Time, Any Place” in a gold dress, covering her nipples with flower emojis.

Earlier this month, Spears revealed on Instagram that she is “writing two fiction novels,” calling the process “the best therapy I could ask for.”
“I’ve felt like half the world was shady to me for some reason energetically, and I think it’s because I stopped dreaming the way I used to, and I had no spiritual connection,” she wrote.
She added, “But let me tell you guys a secret… to those who are listening, because believe it or not, those closest to you sometimes will be the main ones to do whatever they can to stop you from having the life you deserve, even lie to you. If I told you guys you wouldn’t believe me and it’s not something I ever want to share.”
