Chad Ollinger is facing an open murder charge after his cellmate was found dead inside a Las Vegas jail.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) said the Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch alum, 41, was taken into custody after corrections officers discovered a male inmate lying motionless inside a cell during routine checks around 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 26.

Officials said the inmate appeared to have suffered blunt force injuries. Officers provided aid and requested medical assistance, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later determined that a physical altercation appeared to have taken place between Ollinger and the victim inside the cell. Authorities said Ollinger was rebooked on an open murder charge, and the investigation is ongoing.

Ollinger, whose father Duane Ollinger owns Blind Frog Ranch in Utah, has had multiple recent run-ins with law enforcement. He was previously arrested in November 2024 after allegedly running a stop light in front of an unmarked police car while riding his motorcycle and then attempting to flee once officers tried to pull him over, according to TMZ. After a brief pursuit, he allegedly abandoned his black Harley-Davidson and ran on foot before officers caught up with him and arrested him.

The Discovery Channel star faced two charges—evading arrest/detention with a vehicle and evading arrest/detention on foot—according to the outlet. He was initially booked into the county jail and later released after posting bond.

“All I know is this one thing,” Ollinger told TMZ at the time. “It was a hell of a ride until I got off of that Harley crossbone.”

He was arrested again near Pampa, Texas, in February on accusations of driving with an invalid license with prior convictions and traveling at least 10% above the posted speed limit, according to The Pampa News. He was booked into the Gray County Jail.

Most recently, TMZ reported that Ollinger has been in jail since October after being arrested as a fugitive from another state. He was also allegedly facing a contempt of court charge.
