Eric Trump’s 2 Kids: All About Son Luke and Daughter Carolina

Eric Trump and his wife became parents in 2017 with the birth of their son, Luke, followed by their daughter, Carolina, in 2019.

President Donald Trump’s second son married Lara Trump in 2014 after six years of dating. Three years later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child, and in September 2017, Luke was born.

Lara revealed her second pregnancy in April 2019, and four months later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Carolina. Luke and Carolina are Trump’s 9th and 10th grandchildren, and his youngest, following Donald Trump Jr.’s five children and Ivanka Trump’s three.

In November 2024, Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election, becoming the 47th president of the United States in January.

Here’s what to know about Eric Trump’s two kids: Luke and Carolina.

Eric Luke Trump, 7

Lara and Eric announced they were expecting their first child in March 2017, with Eric telling PEOPLE that the couple discovered the news on his birthday. Lara admitted she was “exhausted” during the early stages of her pregnancy.

“Until the fatigue hit, I didn’t believe it would actually happen to me,” she said. “It really affected me. But I’m feeling really good now.”

She also shared that she had “always wanted kids someday” and that the couple initially considered the name Charlie, which they had already given to one of their dogs.

Eric Luke Trump, affectionately called Luke, was born on Sept. 12, announced by Eric on X (formerly Twitter).

“[Lara] and I are excited to announce the birth of our son, Eric ‘Luke’ Trump, at 8:50 this morning,” he wrote, sharing a first glimpse of their newborn.

Now 7, Luke enjoys many activities alongside his father. After a January 2024 bike ride, Eric shared a photo of the two wearing helmets, captioning it, “Teach them young!” They enjoyed another ride together in May 2024.

Carolina Dorothy Trump, 6

Lara announced her second pregnancy in April 2019 on X.

During her pregnancy, she told Hello! she wondered how Luke, then 2, would adjust to becoming a big brother. She admitted he was more focused on “kicking a soccer ball and zooming his trucks” than on the new baby.

“We have certainly told him that there’s a baby in Mom’s belly but I’m not sure he fully appreciates what’s about to happen,” she said.

Carolina Dorothy Trump was born on Aug. 19, 2019, with her parents sharing the news on X.

“@LaraLeaTrump and I are excited to welcome Carolina Dorothy Trump into the world,” Eric wrote. “We love you already!”

Luke reshared the post, adding, “We love you Lara, Eric, (big brother) Luke and sweet Carolina!”

Carolina now enjoys playing soccer with her older brother and biking with her mom. The family resides in Florida but often takes trips to ski resorts and to visit Lara’s parents in North Carolina.

In March 2024, Carolina joined her mom on the runway for a charity event for Big Dog Ranch Rescue, walking alongside a dog, with Eric also in attendance.
