Mark Epstein has alleged that records related to his late brother, convicted s** offender Jeffrey Epstein, are being altered to remove the names of Republican politicians.
In a phone interview with NewsNation on Monday, Nov. 18, Mark said he was informed by an unnamed source that references to conservative lawmakers are being redacted from the long-awaited Epstein files. His remarks follow President Donald Trump’s recent call for House Republicans to vote to release the documents, a move that marks a sharp reversal from his earlier resistance.
According to Mark, this change in stance is not about transparency but about political protection. He claimed that the administration’s push to release the files now is tied to behind-the-scenes edits that would render them less damaging for Republicans currently in power.

“I’ve been recently told, the reason they’re going to be releasing the files and the reason for the flip is that they’re sabotaging these files,” Mark said, alleging that officials in the Trump administration are “scrubbing the files to take Republican names out.”
“That’s what I was told, by a pretty good source,” he added.
During the same interview, Mark also claimed that Jeffrey possessed compromising information about Trump in 2016, when Trump was running for his first term in the White House. Mark said his brother indicated that what he knew about the candidates at the time would have been serious enough to “cancel the election.”
“He didn’t tell me what he knew,” Mark said, “but Jeffrey definitely had dirt on Trump.”
His comments come after months of criticism directed at the Trump administration over delays in releasing files connected to Jeffrey’s crimes and death, amid mounting public pressure for full transparency.

Multiple reports since Trump’s second inauguration have stated that the president’s name appears in the documents. Jeffrey and Trump were known to have had a friendship for years before the financier’s arrest and eventual downfall.
Jeffrey was arrested in July 2019 and charged with one count of s** trafficking of minors and one count of conspiracy to engage in s** trafficking of minors.
One month later, while awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City, he died in an apparent suicide.
