Linda Stevenson was found dead at the couple’s home in Oak Hill, Del., after officers responded to what authorities described as “a reported domestic dispute” on Dec. 28. Police said officers attempted life-saving measures, but she was later pronounced dead. Her body was found in the living room, authorities confirmed.
Officials have not released additional details about Linda Stevenson’s cause of death.
Stevenson and Jill Biden married in 1970 and divorced in 1975. She later married then-Sen. Joe Biden, who became the 46th president of the United States in 2021.
