A man has died in a tragic accident involving a ride-on lawn mower.

At about 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, police were called to a property in Brisbane, Australia, after reports of “a serious incident involving a lawn mower,” the Queensland Police told PEOPLE.

The victim was identified as 55-year-old real estate agent Ty Babbidge. Authorities confirmed that he died at the scene.

According to the Courier Mail, Babbidge became trapped under the lawn mower, which caused his death. Police said there was “no further information at this time.”

Babbidge had been working at Brisbane Real Estate for 10 years. The company’s director, Kel Goesch, remembered him as “one of the most generous, happy and genuine people on this planet.”

“He cared a lot about others. He was a great friend to many and was deeply proud of his family,” Goesch told the Courier Mail.

Babbidge’s family also shared a message on Facebook. “Our beloved Ty has passed away. Ty was greatly loved by his family, friends, and the community. His warmth, generosity, and care for others touched so many lives, and he will be dearly missed. We are grateful for your love and support,” the statement read.
