Mariah Carey’s Daughter Monroe Comments on Her Dad Nick Cannon’s Other Children: ‘I Only Have ONE Brother’

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s daughter, Monroe Cannon, recently shared a rare personal insight about her siblings through Instagram Stories.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the 14-year-old addressed questions about her blended family by writing:

“clearing something up guys,” she began. “i only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon. i do have other half siblings from my dad but they are all many many years younger than me!”

Carey, 56, and Cannon, 45, welcomed Monroe and her twin brother Moroccan in 2011 after marrying privately in the Bahamas in 2008.

Since the former couple’s separation in 2014 and divorce in 2016, Cannon has welcomed ten additional children. He shares sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

Cannon also shares two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died at 5 months old in December 2021 from brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, born Dec. 14, 2022.

Cannon has spoken previously about the profound support he receives from Monroe, especially during challenging times such as the loss of Zen. He described her as mature, grounding, and “wise beyond her years,” noting that she often keeps him level-headed as his oldest child.

When Carey was asked by Gayle King on CBS Mornings on Sept. 24 about co-parenting with the Masked Singer host, she replied, “I kind of feel like it’s best if I don’t talk about him, because he can just be in his own world,” adding, “No offense to him.”
