Age is truly just a number for one determined woman from New Jersey.

At 101 years old, Ann Angeletti still runs her jewelry store, Curiosity Jewelers, in Cresskill — a business she owns and operates alongside her daughter and granddaughter, according to ABC 7.

The family business, which opened its doors in 1964, remains active five days a week. But that’s not all — Angeletti often spends her sixth day commuting to New York City’s Diamond District on 47th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, the outlet reported.

“If I retire, I would die,” she told ABC 7. “So I cannot stay home.”

Angeletti’s strong work ethic began early in life. Growing up in Brooklyn, she helped her family run a grocery store as a child. Later, while her husband served in World War II, she took a job at a Navy Yard before becoming a waitress.

Her journey into jewelry was pure chance. “I was driving by, the store was for rent, and I called the owner and asked him, ‘How much is the rent?’ and he said, ‘$85 a month,’” she recalled to ABC 7.

When asked about the secret behind her long life and continued passion for work, Angeletti said self-care and discipline are key.

“You must get up, you must shower, you must eat, you must take care of yourself. You must exercise,” she advised. “If you don’t like what you’re doing, then change.”
