A frightening moment on the Barcelona Metro is drawing fresh attention after an off-duty police officer rushed to help a man who fell onto the subway tracks.

The incident took place in November 2025, but CCTV video shared online in December has resurfaced in recent weeks, spreading beyond Spanish-language social media and prompting praise from viewers worldwide.

According to Dexerto, off-duty Catalonia police officer Felisa Pozas was waiting for a train on Nov. 25 when she noticed a man stumbling along the platform. Surveillance footage shows Pozas keeping a close eye on him, appearing increasingly concerned as he struggled to stay steady.

As the situation worsened, Pozas pressed the station’s SOS intercom to alert staff. Seconds later, the man lost his balance and fell off the platform onto the tracks below.

The video shows him lying motionless as Pozas and three bystanders immediately reacted. The group climbed down to the tracks and worked together to pull him up and back onto the platform before an oncoming train could arrive. More people then gathered to check on the man’s condition as the clip ended.

The rescue has gone viral again in early 2026, with many online applauding Pozas for her fast decision-making and the bystanders who acted without hesitation.
