Police are pursuing new leads in the search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie.

Nancy was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, early Sunday morning, Feb. 1. After authorities released new surveillance video showing a masked intruder entering her home, the FBI and local law enforcement began following additional tips.

Investigators have asked nearby Ring doorbell camera users in the Catalina Foothills area to share footage from specific time windows tied to the case. Authorities requested video from Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight local time, as well as from Jan. 31 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., the morning before the abduction. A neighbor, Laura Gargano, said the request was sent through the Ring app. In the request, police noted a “suspicious vehicle” had been seen in the vicinity.

Authorities also said they have recovered multiple pieces of evidence, including gloves, and that all viable items have been submitted for analysis.

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said investigators are still operating on the belief that Nancy is alive. That same day, the FBI’s Phoenix office said it conducted an extensive search of the area, including multiple roadways in the Catalina Foothills.

Nancy was last seen on the evening of Jan. 31, when she was dropped off at her Arizona home around 9:48 p.m. after dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie, and her son-in-law. Her family reported her missing the next day at about 12:03 p.m. after learning she had not joined friends for a church livestream.

On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the FBI released doorbell camera footage showing a masked intruder at Nancy’s home. The armed individual appeared to try to obscure the camera using plants pulled from the front yard.

Since Nancy disappeared, several media outlets have reported receiving alleged ransom notes from whoever may be responsible. One reported deadline was set for 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, with a second for 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9.

Savannah Guthrie and her two siblings have repeatedly appealed publicly for their mother’s safe return. On Feb. 4, they shared a video online asking for proof that she was alive. On Feb. 7, they posted another emotional message, saying, “We will pay.”
