Police in Michigan have arrested the sister and fiancé of missing pregnant woman Rebecca Park just hours after a body believed to be hers was found in the Manistee National Forest.

Kimberly Park, 21, and Richard Falor, 43, are both being held at the Wexford County Jail while the medical examiner conducts an autopsy on the woman whose body was discovered earlier this week.

Authorities have not publicly linked the arrests to the discovery of the body, but the bail amounts set by the judge are unusually high given the current charges.

Kimberly was taken into custody in the early morning hours of Nov. 26 and later appeared in court the same day, where she was arraigned on charges of tampering with evidence, lying to a police officer and filing a false report, according to court records. All three counts are felonies, and her bail was set at $750,000.

Falor, who is being held at the same facility, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 and arraigned the following day on two counts of delivering methamphetamine, records show. His bail was set at $1 million.

Both Kimberly and Falor remain in custody.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office has declined to comment further and has not said whether the body found was that of a woman who was still pregnant or had recently given birth.

Rebecca, 22, has been missing since just before midnight on Nov. 3. Authorities say she was last seen at her mother’s home in Boon Township, located a little more than 100 miles north of Grand Rapids.

Search efforts began soon after she was reported missing and carried added urgency because she was 38 weeks pregnant at the time. Her due date was Nov. 18, just days before the body was discovered.

In a previous interview with WWTV, Falor said that he and Rebecca had gone to the hospital the day before she disappeared because they thought she might be in labor.

“Me, her mom and sister, we’ve all been calling the hospitals. I just want to know that she’s safe. Our son is safe,” Falor said.
