The official halftime show of Super Bowl LX drew a vastly larger audience than an alternative online concert promoted by a conservative advocacy group, underscoring the continued reach of the NFL’s marquee broadcast even as parallel events seek attention online.

The league’s Apple Music halftime performance, headlined by Bad Bunny, is projected to have reached more than 135 million viewers based on early network estimates. Final audience figures have not yet been released, but preliminary data suggest the show met or exceeded the overall Super Bowl television audience, which has climbed steadily in recent years.

By contrast, the separately produced “All-American Halftime Show,” organized by Turning Point USA and streamed online during the game, peaked at about 6.1 million concurrent viewers, according to reporting that tracked livestream traffic. A recording of the event later posted online accumulated additional views, though those figures measure user-initiated plays rather than simultaneous audiences.

Turning Point USA launched the alternative program after objecting to the NFL’s selection of Bad Bunny as the halftime performer. The organization’s concert featured several country music artists and ran for roughly half an hour, overlapping with the televised broadcast.

The difference between the two events highlights the challenges of comparing online streams with television audiences. Livestream counts often fluctuate and are calculated differently from traditional ratings, which rely on household sampling and national measurement systems.

Digital interest in the official halftime show extended beyond the broadcast itself. Music industry data showed a sharp increase in streaming activity for the headlining artist following the performance, and related online video content attracted tens of millions of views across platforms in the days after the game.

Public reaction to both performances played out across social media, with supporters and critics of each event framing the numbers to suit competing narratives. Media analysts note that while alternative programming can draw sizable niche audiences, the Super Bowl halftime show remains one of the most-watched live entertainment events in the United States.
