A 35-year-old man shared a surprising story on Reddit about what happened during his recent flight.
He explained that he was sitting in the middle of the plane near the exit row when a “gorgeous woman asked if she could take the seat next to me.” Since seating was first come, first served on that airline, he agreed and made space for her.
“Before takeoff, we hit it off instantly,” he wrote. The woman seemed flirty, wasn’t wearing a wedding ring, and appeared to be traveling alone — but, as he later learned, that wasn’t the full story.
The two chatted about their plans. She was flying to Los Angeles to visit friends, while he was headed there for work. During the flight, she got closer, even moving the armrest and putting her leg across his. Believing she was single, the man asked if she wanted to get drinks in L.A.
“Turned out she was staying at the same hotel as me, which was crazy,” he said. They exchanged numbers and made plans to meet that evening.
But once the plane landed, her behavior changed. She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, rushed to the front, and left the plane without saying much.
When he walked into the baggage area, he saw her again — but this time she was wearing a wedding ring and holding hands with a man.
Later, when he texted her about it, she brushed it off and avoided the topic. Feeling uneasy, he stopped replying.
That night, he still went out for a drink. To his surprise, the woman and the same man showed up at the bar across from him. She didn’t approach him, but kept making flirty eye contact throughout the evening.
“Wild stuff,” he concluded.
