Teen Couple Found Dead at Lodging Park Remembered by Their Loved Ones: ‘We Are Broken as a Family’

The families of a teenage couple found dead at a holiday park have shared emotional tributes.

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Cherish Bean, 15, and her boyfriend Ethan Slater, 17, were discovered inside a rental property at Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington, England. Emergency services responded quickly, but both teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities described the incident as deeply tragic and said the families remain their primary focus as the investigation continues.

In a statement, Cherish’s mother expressed profound grief, calling her daughter her “world” and saying the loss had left the family devastated. She urged parents to cherish time with their children, emphasizing how quickly life can change. She also spoke warmly of Ethan, describing him as a kind-hearted young man whom she loved like her own.

Ethan’s mother remembered her son as generous, loving, and kind, noting that his smile could brighten any room. She said Cherish meant everything to Ethan and that the couple shared a strong and visible bond.

Following the tragedy, Ethan’s mother created a fundraising page to help arrange a memorial that reflects the love and impact he had during his life.

Police later announced the arrest of several individuals on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. Officials stated that the deaths remain unexplained but are being investigated, including the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning. Those arrested have since been released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.

Ethan’s father also paid tribute, expressing heartbreak and saying his son would be loved forever.
