Golf legend Tiger Woods faces renewed legal scrutiny following a Friday afternoon rollover crash that has sparked “concerns” within the Trump family. Donald Trump Jr., who co-parents five children with Woods’ current girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, is reportedly monitoring the situation closely as details of the athlete’s suspected impairment emerge.
The arrest occurred around 2:00 p.m. on March 27, near Woods’ residence on Jupiter Island. According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, Woods was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident. While the 15-time major champion passed an initial breathalyzer test, law enforcement officials confirmed he refused to consent to a urinalysis to detect the presence of narcotics or prescription medications.
Sheriff Budensiek stated that investigators suspect Woods was impaired by “medication or another substance,” despite no physical evidence of drugs or alcohol being discovered inside the vehicle at the scene.
The fallout from the crash extends to the upper echelons of the Trump family. Vanessa Trump, who divorced Donald Trump Jr. in 2018, has been in a relationship with Woods for over a year.

Sources close to the family indicate that while Donald Trump Jr. has remained supportive of the couple, this latest incident has created friction regarding the safety of his and Vanessa’s five children: Kai (18), Donald III (17), Tristan (14), Spencer (13), and Chloe (11).
“Don Jr. has been supportive of Tiger and Vanessa, especially when it comes to the kids,” a source stated. “But the recent situation raised some concerns for him. He’s just thankful Vanessa and the kids weren’t involved.”
Donald Trump Jr. is currently engaged to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, but he remains active in a “co-parenting team” with Vanessa.
This arrest marks a significant setback for Woods, who has struggled with both physical injuries and legal issues over the last decade. In 2017, Woods was discovered asleep at the wheel in Jupiter Island. He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving, attributing the incident to an “unexpected reaction” to prescribed pain medication.
Former President Donald Trump, 79, addressed the crash during a brief exchange with reporters, describing Woods as a “very close friend” and an “amazing man.” However, the former president acknowledged the gravity of the situation, noting that Woods is facing “some difficulty” that he preferred not to elaborate on.
Woods’ representatives have not yet released a formal statement regarding the March 27 charges or the refusal of chemical testing.
