Tom Cruise’s growing closeness with the British royal family reportedly leaves Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feeling sidelined.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be feeling left out as Hollywood star Tom Cruise grows closer to senior members of the British royal family, according to a report by Knewz.com.
Cruise, best known for his role in Mission: Impossible, has developed a strong relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton in recent years. He even accompanied the royal couple to the London premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in 2022.
“Tom has clearly chosen sides in the ongoing tension between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family – and he’s chosen the winning team,” a source told Knewz.com. “He’s well connected with the royals and has almost become an honorary Brit, spending a lot of time filming in the UK.”
Cruise Distances Himself from the Sussexes
According to insiders, Cruise has no interest in associating with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “There’s no way he’d risk those royal ties by getting involved with Harry and Meghan – who are pretty unpopular with the royals anyway,” the source added.
Reports claim that after stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan tried to approach Cruise about appearing on Meghan’s podcast. However, they were allegedly turned down.
“Tom wouldn’t even consider doing her podcast,” another insider said. “They’re nowhere near the top of his list when it comes to people he wants to work with.”
Cruise’s Deepening Ties to the UK
Cruise’s connection to Britain has only grown stronger in recent years. He’s relocated to the UK, works frequently with British film crews, and was honored as a fellow by the British Film Institute.
