President Donald Trump lashed out at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and 60 Minutes after her interview with Lesley Stahl aired on CBS, using his Truth Social account on Monday, Dec. 8, to vent about both the Georgia congresswoman and the show.
In his post, Trump mocked Greene, 51, by calling her “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!)” and claimed she had gone “BAD” after being “JILTED” by him. “Too much work, not enough time, and her ideas are, NOW, really BAD – She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple!” Trump, 79, wrote.
“Marjorie is not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, because nobody could have changed her views so fast, and her new views are those of a very dumb person,” he continued.
Trump also went after 60 Minutes and veteran journalist Lesley Stahl, 83, calling the show “Trump hating” and asserting that the CBS News reporter “still owes me an apology” for what he described as an “attack” on him during a previous appearance.

Labeling Greene “very poorly prepared,” Trump argued that “in her confusion [she] made many really stupid statements.” But he said his larger complaint was with the network and its ownership. “My real problem with the show, however, wasn’t the low IQ traitor, it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air,” he wrote.
He added, “THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE OLD OWNERSHIP, who just paid me millions of Dollars for FAKE REPORTING about your favorite President, ME!”
Trump ended his post with a demand: “P.S. I hereby demand a complete and total APOLOGY, though far too late to be meaningful, from Lesley Stahl and 60 Minutes.”
During her 60 Minutes segment, which aired Sunday, Dec. 7, Greene made a series of claims about Trump and her Republican colleagues. She said many GOP lawmakers speak very differently about Trump in private than they do in public.
“I watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, making fun of how he talks, making fun of me constantly for supporting him, to when he won the primary in 2024, they all started — excuse my language, Lesley — kissing his ass, and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time,” Greene said.
She added that many Republicans are “terrified to step out of line and get a nasty Truth Social post on them.”
Greene has represented Georgia’s 14th district since January 2021 and was once one of Trump’s staunchest allies, closely aligning herself with his agenda. Their relationship has cooled in recent months, as Greene has publicly criticized some of his decisions, including what she characterized as the administration’s earlier reluctance to release files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In November, Trump publicly declared that Greene had “lost her way” and rescinded his endorsement of her.
Trump’s relationship with Paramount and CBS has also been under scrutiny. In July, his influence became a major talking point when Stephen Colbert announced that The Late Show had been canceled. CBS said in a statement at the time that the decision was “not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount,” while others pointed to Colbert’s recent on-air remarks about Paramount’s settlement with Trump just days before the cancellation became public.
The shake-up came as Paramount was in the middle of a merger with entertainment company Skydance — a deal that required approval from the Trump administration.
