Scott Disick Says Son Mason, 15, Told Him He ‘Can’t Actually’ Move to New York After the Dad of 3 Floated the Idea

Scott Disick has decided to stay put in California — and his son Mason had a big influence on that choice.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Disick, 42, revisits his earlier comments about moving to New York during a chat with Khloé Kardashian. The father of three explains that he’s shelving the idea for now after Mason, 15, told him he couldn’t actually go through with it.

As the two discuss Disick’s ongoing home renovation, Kardashian asks if he still plans to relocate.
“So, no,” Disick replies. “I’ve decided I can’t really move to New York with my kids and everything.”

Kardashian quickly points out, “First of all, no one was gonna let you move across country,” prompting Disick to joke, “I know one person that would.”
“Okay, but besides her,” she says, referring to her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker. “I get that, but it’s very extreme. It was shocking.”

Disick explains that his son made him rethink things: “I talked to Mace, and he’s like, ‘You can’t actually move.’ And them coming every long weekend…” He adds that he had already sold his boat and started preparing for the move before realizing it wasn’t realistic.
“No, but I was like getting prepared! But I’ve realized, there’s no way I could actually do both,” he says.

Kardashian calls the idea “ridiculous,” to which Disick responds, “I am now just gonna get something that will fit us in New York.”

Kardashian then teases that a woman may have been behind his enthusiasm for a cross-country change.
“No, there is a girl that I do see when I’m in New York that I don’t have here,” Disick admits. “So maybe that also plays a little bit of a part.”
“Yeah, of course. I get that,” she replies.

Disick shares sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, as well as daughter Penelope, 12, with ex Kourtney Kardashian.

Earlier this season, Disick had told Kardashian that he was contemplating a move after January’s California wildfires. “The fires were kinda crazy and everything,” he said at the time. “I feel like California’s been pretty crazy. I think I might move back to New York.”

When Kardashian reacted with disbelief — “Shut up… But you can’t” — Disick admitted he felt isolated in Hidden Hills and thought about a fresh start. “He’d probably move with me,” he said of Mason, to which Kardashian replied, “That’s insanity.”

For now, however, the New York plan is on pause — at least until Mason gives his approval.
